The Shipped Suite standalone chat widget lets you provide AI-powered customer support directly on your storefront. Follow the steps below to install it on your Shopify theme.
Before installing, confirm that your Shopify theme does not already have another chat widget installed.
Having multiple chat widgets active at the same time can cause conflicts and prevent the Shipped Suite widget from appearing correctly.
If another widget is installed, remove its code or disable the app before proceeding.
Step 1 – Copy the Installation Code
In Shipped Suite Merchant Admin, go to AI Agent > Channels.
Under Web Widget, click Settings.
Copy the Installation Code provided.
The code is already pre-configured for your store, so no edits are required.

Step 2 – Add the Code to Your Shopify Theme
Log into your Shopify Admin.
From the left menu, click Online Store > Themes.
Next to your active theme, click Actions > Edit Code.
In the file tree, open theme.liquid (or your main layout file).
Scroll to the bottom and paste the code snippet just before the closing

tag.Click Save.
Step 3 – (Optional) Configure Greeting Message
Return to Shipped Suite Merchant Admin > Web Widget Settings.
Enter a Greeting Message.
This functions as an auto-responder, sent as the very first message after a customer submits their query.
If left blank, the AI will respond directly to the customer instead.
Save your changes.
Step 4 – Sync Resolved Conversations to Your CX Platform (Recommended)
To maintain full visibility in your CX platform, we recommend syncing resolved conversations handled in the widget back into your ticketing system.
In Shipped Suite Merchant Admin, go to AI Agent > Channels.
Click into your CX platform settings (e.g., Zendesk, Gorgias, Freshdesk, etc.).
Check the box for Sync Resolved External Conversations.
Click Save.
This ensures all customer interactions fully resolved by AI are stored in your CX platform for tracking and reporting.
