Enabling the Loop Returns Integration

The Loop Returns integration allows your AI agent to:

  • Create eligible returns

  • Check return status for customers

Important limitation

Due to current limitations in Loop’s agentic return API, the AI agent can only facilitate same-price variant exchanges.

The AI agent cannot facilitate exchanges that require payment capture, including:

  • Instant exchanges

  • Advanced exchanges

  • Product exchanges

  • Any exchange where the replacement item has a different price or requires additional payment

These requests should be escalated to your support team for manual review or direct customer to use the self-service portal.

Before you begin

Before enabling the integration, make sure you have:

  • Admin access to your Cavalry account

  • Admin access to your Loop Returns account

  • Access to generate an API key in Loop

  • Loop's Create Return API is enabled on the account by your Loop account manager

Step 1: Generate your API key in Loop

  1. Log in to your Loop Returns admin.

  2. In the left navigation, go to Tools & integrations > Developer tools.

  3. In the API keys section, click Generate API key.

  4. Enter a name for the key, such as Cavalry.

  5. Select the following scopes:

    • Create Returns (read)

    • Create Returns (write)

    • Return

    • Order

  6. Click Generate.

  7. Copy the newly generated API key.

Step 2: Enable Loop Returns in Cavalry

  1. Log in to your Cavalry admin.

  2. In the left navigation, go to AI Agent > Channels.

  3. Under the Returns section, find Loop Returns.

  4. Click Enable.

  5. Paste your Loop Returns API key into the API key field.

  6. Click Continue.

Once saved, the integration should show as enabled.
