The Return Shipment Settings section controls how the customer sends items back, what fees (if any) apply, and where returns are routed. This configuration impacts the customer experience and your backend fulfillment operations.
1. Return Methods
Select the return method(s) you want to offer customers:
Boxless Returns
Customers can drop off their items at select Happy Returns locations without needing a box or label.⚠️ Requires Happy Returns integration.
Pre-Paid Label
Customers receive a downloadable return shipping label via email.
They will box the item and drop it off with the selected courier.Customer Self-Ship
Customer is responsible for shipping the item back independently.
No label is provided, and return processing will not begin until the item is received and verified.
You can enable one or multiple options depending on your operational preferences.
2. Return Method Fees
Set fees for specific return methods. If left blank, the return will be free for the customer.
Prepaid Label Fee – Charge a flat amount (e.g.,
$5.00
) for use of your pre-generated shipping label.Apply Return Fees to Store Credit Resolutions
When enabled, the return fee will apply even when the customer opts for store credit, not just refunds.
3. Courier Accounts
Select the shipping carriers you'd like to use for generating return shipping labels.
Supported couriers may include UPS, USPS, FedEx, Happy Returns, Royal Mail, and more.
To manage or connect accounts:
Click Go to Courier Accounts
Follow the prompts to authenticate and configure your carrier(s)

Only connected and active couriers will appear as selectable options in your policy.
4. Return Address
Choose the physical return location for RMAs.
This should reflect your warehouse, fulfillment partner, or third-party logistics provider.
Click Manage Locations to add or update return addresses.
