The General Settings section allows you to define overall parameters for when a return is allowed and what constraints apply to each case — such as return windows, shipping logic, and inventory limits.
Use the fields below to tailor your return logic to your operational and financial preferences:
1. Return Policy URL
Add a link to your public-facing return policy (e.g., your Help Center article).
This link may be used in automated emails or customer-facing portals.
2. Return Window
Set the number of days after delivery during which a customer can initiate a return.
Example: Enter
30
to allow returns within 30 days of delivery.Outside this window, items will not be eligible for return.
3. Minimum Return Threshold
Specify a minimum order/item value (in USD) required for returns to be eligible.
Useful to discourage returns for low-value items where return shipping may cost more than the item.
Leave at
0
to allow returns on all orders regardless of value.
4. Shipping Required Tags
Enter tags to force a product to be returned, regardless of value.
These override the Minimum Return Threshold.
Example use case: defective or regulated products that must be physically returned.
5. Shipping Not Required Tags
Enter tags to waive the requirement to return an item, regardless of value.
These take precedence over the Shipping Required Tags.
Example use case: low-value or perishable items where the customer can keep the item.
6. Minimum Inventory Threshold for Replacement
Set a minimum inventory level required to offer a replacement.
If inventory falls below this number, the "Replacement" option will not appear for the customer.
Default value is
1
.
